BEPC has an open position for Megasys Gas & Chemical Technician in Fremont, CA!
Contract W2 Period: 12-month contract with possibilities for extensions
Pay & Benefits: $27.00 - $30.00/hr. +Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
Must be available for BOTH day and night shifts. This includes working days for 3 months and then nights for 3 months as a possibility.
Workers start on the Day shift and, depending on experience, etc., will be moved to working a Compressed shift. This includes working days for 3 months and then nights for 3 months.
Description:
· The individuals will be responsible for supporting and leading the technical demands of the site gas or chemical equipment.
· They will ensure compliance with operation and maintenance procedures, and emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.
· The individuals will be a part of the onsite Project and Equipment team and support the gas and chemical operations.
· Responsible for supporting and leading the technical challenges for over 2000 pieces of distribution equipment of various types and vendors.
· You will ensure compliance when writing, editing, and executing operating and maintenance procedures and drive a ZERO safety or quality incident culture.
· Will be involved in projects and sustaining operations, Basic Safety processes, Quality Management, preventative maintenance, and training.
· They will support installations, decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing all Versum Materials Gas Systems.
· The individual must be capable of performing cylinder and drum changes on all chemical and gas systems and perform complex troubleshooting and problem resolution for all equipment.
· Be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of gas or chemical applications in wafer fabrication
Requirements:
• Must Have: 2 – 3 years experience with chemicals and/or gas
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Must have a valid Driver’s license
• Speak English
• Looking for a long-term career path; to become a permanent employee (conversions generally occur no later than 12 months)
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience with gas and chemical systems in a semiconductor ultra-high purity operation as an equipment technician.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering.
• Navy Nuclear power school trained
