Job Description

Under the direction of the  Transportation Manager , the Class C Delivery Driver drives a company van to deliver such commodities as frozen food, cooler, dairy, dry grocery, and produce to customers on a predetermined route within specific delivery windows. Stacks or stores the delivered product as directed by the customer. Records sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery records and submits them to the supervisor at the end of the route. The Class C delivery van driver also makes emergency deliveries to customers who were short on their earlier delivery.

What Will You Be Doing?  

• Performs all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures
• Inspects truck/van for defects and safe operating condition before and after trips
• Transport load over required route to proper destination, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Safely unloads product and delivers into customer locations 
• Collects payment from customers and records transactions on delivery receipt
• Listens to and resolves customer service and credit complaints
• Picks up any returns of rejected or unsold merchandise
• Performs additional duties as assigned, delegated, or required

What Experience, Skills and Attributes Will You Need to Be Successful ?

• Valid CA CDL Class A or C driver's license
• Possess a driving record in accordance with Company’s established guidelines
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• Outstanding attention to detail

Job Information

• Full-time position with potential for overtime
• Day shift, tentative start time between 4 am to 5 am. 
• Satursdays will be part of the schedule
• Current Employee Hourly Pay Rate: Ranging from $22.50 to $26.50 based on years of experience.
