Job Description

An AmLaw 100 law firm is seeking a seasoned legal secretary to join their corporate team in DC. The position will be hybrid (2 days remote) and will support a team of 6: 3 attorneys, 1 Partner, 1 special counsel, and 1 Associate, so they are seeking someone who has law firm experience, familiarity with the corporate practice area (particularly SEC filing experience,) and extensive word processing experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafts, types & proofreads correspondence, memoranda and other legal documentation: drafts and maintains lists and tables in Excel worksheets. Experience in Corporate practice preferred
  • Coordinates & schedules meetings, including booking conference rooms, arranging catering, printing documents, coordinating schedules, and greeting clients.
  • Manages travel & expenses, including making travel arrangements and processing expenses
  • Provides general administrative support to legal professionals including maintaining calendars & schedules, answering phones, organizing, coping and scanning documents and processing incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Conducts research and collates information
  • Implements & maintains effective office organizational systems

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Legal Secretarial experience within a law firm
  • Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, securities law, and corporate compliance preferred
  • Must possess high level of technical competency on various job-related computer software packages and applications such as MS Word and Excel.
