In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of rail operations at the wood pellet facility including but not limited to the preparation and staging of rail cars and the loading of aggregate material. You will routinely operate mobile loading equipment of pellets for rail transit to the port facility, as well as the maintenance of equipment and administrative functions to support rail operations. As part of your duties, you will: Effectively communicate to all team members and management any equipment deficienciesAbility to follow written and verbal instructions with meticulous attention to detailDemonstrated ability to effectively anticipate and diagnose problems and perform minor mechanical maintenance on rail operationsPerform routine administrative functions including accurately and efficiently updating/maintaining inventory and production reportsAbility to work flexible hours including unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidaysAbility to perform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, working at heights, climbing, pushing, twisting, stooping)Industrial mobile operation experience/certification as requiredInterface with 3rd party rail line operators to ship and receive loaded and empty cars from the mainlineProficiently operate shuttle wagons in safe and competent manner to spot rail cars for loading/unloadingAbility to load high volumes of 12 cars per shift along with other tasks and responsibilities to keep up with productionAble to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment. Able to work at elevated heights. Who you are?
