Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to join our Client in Walnut Creek, California, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will support the organization's IT systems, focusing on cloud-based solutions, network infrastructure, and cyber-security measures. You will have the opportunity to collaborate on IT projects, provide guidance to team members, and ensure the reliability and security of our systems. The pay range for this role is up to $57/hr on W2 - depending on experience - and is 100% onsite. Responsibilities: - Administer and maintain the Microsoft Office 365 and Azure cloud environments to ensure optimal performance. - Oversee the network infrastructure across multiple office locations, including firewalls, switches, routers, and connectivity solutions. - Implement and manage cyber-security protocols such as endpoint protection, patch management, and vulnerability assessments. - Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using advanced monitoring tools. - Collaborate with the IT Director and other stakeholders on strategic initiatives and IT projects. - Create and update detailed documentation for systems, processes, and procedures. - Provide guidance and training to IT Operations Help Desk staff to enhance team capabilities. - Participate in an on-call rotation to deliver after-hours support when necessary. Networking Infrastructure: + Microsoft Office 365 cloud tenet with Azure + Okta Identity Management Application environment: + Windows 11 PCs + Office 365 + Microsoft apps - Outlook, Word, Excel + Sharepoint + Onedrive Requirements - Minimum of 5 years of experience in Office 365 and Azure administration. - At least 3 years of experience managing Okta as the primary identity manager within an Office 365 environment. - Strong background in network administration, including firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and VLANs. - Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell or Python. - Hands-on experience with server and network monitoring tools. - Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex IT challenges. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. - Industry certifications and experience with configuration management tools are highly desirable Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
